Do you qualify for cloud credits?
Most early-stage startups qualify for at least one program — many for both. There are three common paths to free AWS and Google Cloud credits. If any of them sounds like you, it's worth applying.
Three common paths
You only need to fit one to be worth an application.
DPIIT-recognised startups
If you're registered with Startup India and DPIIT-recognised, you can request an Organization ID that connects your application to a dedicated partner path for Indian founders — one of the cleanest routes to larger AWS Activate credits.
Already spending on cloud
Paying roughly $500 or more a month on AWS or GCP? Real, active usage on a paid account signals a growing business — exactly the kind of team providers extend credits to. Your existing spend often strengthens the application.
Funded startups
Backed by an investor or accelerator, from seed to Series B? Funding — especially through a partner that holds provider access — unlocks the highest tiers: up to $100K on AWS and $200K–$350K on Google Cloud.
Quick eligibility checklist
The more of these you can tick, the smoother your application. Missing a couple isn't a dealbreaker — we'll tell you what to fix.
- Founded within the last 10 years and pre-Series B
- A registered company (Private Limited or LLP builds credibility)
- A live website that clearly describes your product
- A company email on your own domain (not Gmail/Yahoo)
- A cloud account on a paid tier, or ready to move to one
- You're building a product, not running a dev agency
- You haven't already claimed the same credits before
